Jessica Wedden is a 15-year-old fiddler, trick fiddler, step dancer, guitarist and composer and Jon McLurg is a recognized singer, songwriter and guitarist.  Jessica is a 2016 Canadian Folk Music Award nominee and Jon is American Songwriter Magazine’s Lyric contest winner.  Together they performed at numerous venues each year, which included opening for Ashley MacIsaac for the 2017 Festival of Small Halls Ontario with a standing ovation.  Jessica has been influenced by professional teacher Cindy Thompson, Scott Woods, Shane Cook, Bruce Cockburn and Tim Chaisson of the East Pointers; Jon by Mississippi John Hurt, Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, John Prine, Leonard Cohen, and Bob Dylan.  Jessica has an upbeat Celtic, Ottawa Valley and East Coast style and Jon a soft but smooth voice for his folk songs and elegant finger-style guitar playing.  He sings songs of truth, reflection, melancholy, contentment, and spirituality.  They each share a passion for music which can be heard in every note!
