Deux Trois is the project of Kingstonians Nadia Pacey (of Konig), Benjamin Nelson (of PS I Love You), and Ben Webb (of Carvings & We Are Adam West).
Pacey and Nelson met in 2015 at The Artel in Kingston. They ended up playing a number of the same shows as Konig and Slow High, respectively. Pacey produced electronic music independently and experimented with performance art for the stage for four years before she took up an offer from Slow High to be her backing band for a single show in August 2017. When they got together, Slow High, with its dark pop influence, heavy rhythm section and 80s-inspired analog synths, brought Pacey to a place musically where she hadn’t been before; Nelson and Pacey continued to play music together. They have collaborated on a number of visual art and design projects, taking it upon themselves to pursue a vision of ‘total’ art for Pacey’s music. Since November 2018, Ben Webb has joined the band as guitarist, lending to each song a much needed boost in romanticism, noise, and potential for bled out ears.
