Halloween Parade with Urban Science Brass Band!

Urban Science Brass Band

October 31, 2021 starting at 4PM in Skeleton Park

Join us for SPAF's annual Halloween Parade—this year, we are thrilled to have Urban Science Brass Band leading the parade! Meet us in Skeleton Park at 4PM with your best Halloween digs, where USBB will kick off the festivities.

COVID Safety Precautions

With the health and safety of our community in mind, we'd like to note that the parade may look a little different from previous years. With large numbers, the parade may move through the streets in safely spaced groups rather than congregating in the park for too long.

Please remember to observe all COVID-related safety protocols, including maintaining 2 meters of distance from other attendees not within your own households, and wearing masks whenever proper physical distancing is not possible. Please refrain from attending the parade if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, have travelled outside of the country in the past 14 days, or have been in contact with a confirmed case in the past 14 days.

About the band

URBAN SCIENCE BRASS BAND re-invents hip-hop classics with the intensity and fire of a guerilla street performance. Imagine a New Orleans-style brass band - trumpets, saxophones, trombones, sousaphones, tubas - with a repertoire spanning Dr. Dre through Kendrick Lamar - complete with multilingual MCs on megaphones, marching band drummers, and street dancers. Whether in parade format or electrifying stage performance, the energy level is always high in these unique interactive performances.

Featuring some of Montreal’s most sought-after and world-recognized artists in one group, they have performed and/or recorded with such artists as Talib Kweli, Nelly, KRS-One, Illa J, Snarky Puppy, Erik Truffaz, Bran Van 3000, and Imhothep (IAM). Notable achievements amongst its members are 2016 world champion of End of the Weak, 6-time King of the Dot champion, an appearance on the Tonight Show, and artist sponsorships from Soultone Cymbals and Dream Cymbals.
