Skeleton Park Arts Festival and Inner Harbour Collective are excited to support Kingston’s own dance artists by presenting live performances followed by an evening film screening.

The live performances will feature a fun and dynamic performance by the Kingston Freestyle Dance Collective. The evening will be premiering works produced by the Movement Market Collective, featuring original compositional music by Danielle Lennon, Cassie Forzani, Ralph Mendoza, and Etienne Lambert. Professional choreography by Kay Kenney and Camille Spencer and Sylvia Berman.

We will invite audience members to particiate in a panel discuccion about how dance in Kingston has thrived, evolved and can grow within the community.

The event will also feature an opportunity for local youth to participate in a ballet masterclass taught by Claude Marc Forest, and demonstrated by Inner Harbour Collective’s own Daniel Roberston-Styles.

You don’t want to miss this unique performative event featuring local dance professionals with interactive fun, music by professional composer Danielle Lennon, and original choreography.

As a concluding event to this evening of dance, at 8:30pm we’re excited to team up with the Kingston Canadian Film Festival to present “This is Ballet: Dancing Anne of Green Gables.”

Choose to attend one or both. Bring a blanket or camping chair and enjoy viewing live dance again as we strive to open more performance opportunities here in Kingston.

All COVID regulations will apply. Masks and social distancing will be enforced.

**In the chance of rain or bad weather, a rain date will be scheduled for Sunday August 15th. Same time and place!
