Porch Jazz Parade 2018

The Porch Jazz Parade offers a fun romp through the streets with pit stops for half-hour concerts along the way. Dance in the streets or bring a portable lawn chair and relax.  The 2017 Porch Jazz Parade will be led by Spencer Evan’s Goat Steppers Parade Band.

Georgette Fry

Georgette’s has a love of good music, be it jazz, blues or beyond. Sandy MacDonald, Halifax Daily News writes, “With her luscious singing voice, she explores the soulful grey area between blues and jazz, where artists like Etta James and Ray Charles and Bonnie Raitt have staked their careers.”

Metis Fiddler Quartet

This group of Métis siblings born in Winnipeg, Manitoba have nurtured a passion for music from an early age. Building on their foundations in classical music studies, they have mentored with Aboriginal elders from across Canada to develop their repertoire of Indigenous Canadian fiddle music.
