Over the past two decades Sarah Harmer has become a unique voice in Canadian folk rock. Her latest release, oh little fire, has being praised around the world and received 4 star review from the London Sunday Times and the Washington Post. Accolades are not new for Sarah. Rolling Stone celebrated You Were Here, her 2000 solo debut, for its “dozen killer songs” and All Of Our Names received a 2004 JUNO award. Sarah’s Escarpment Blues documentary won a JUNO for Best Music DVD in 2006, and I’m A Mountain was shortlisted for the Polaris Prize. Sarah lives outside Kingston and spends her time between art and activism.
